Ms. Lina Budilov, M.S.

Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

Lina Budilov is a Child and Family Specialist and Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern. She has extensive experience treating individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, emotion regulation, ADHD, and other childhood disorders, along with family relational difficulties. She has a passion in helping individuals with interpersonal challenges and providing couples’ therapy, creating a collaborative experience for her clients. Lina also offers individualized parenting sessions and postpartum support.

 

Prior to pursuing a career in mental health, Lina was an educator and taught children aged 5-12 years old. She continues to be passionate and enthusiastic about working with children and families, and in her sessions, she uses skills-based approaches with a variety of mediums to teach her clients coping skills. 

 

In addition to formal education, Lina actively researches innovative ways to engage children through games and story-telling, which has significantly increased children’s attentiveness and engagement. Lina is driven by the belief that children, adolescents, adults and families can improve their lives by building meaningful relationships, as it has a fundamental effect on growth, health, the development of functional skills, and living life to its fullest.  Irrespective of age, Lina aims to empower individuals to achieve optimal levels of function, independence, quality of life, and spiritual fulfillment. Integration of her love of teaching, along with her naturally empathy and heart-felt commitment to helping others, makes positive changes possible. 

 

Lina has nearly a decade of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University in 2015, and went on to work with children in elementary schools where she fostered a deep passion for working with families in the therapeutic setting. She earned her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Holy Family University, graduating with honors.  Lina is formally trained in CBT, Mindfulness, Person-Center Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. Lina’s practicum and internship were completed at Lenape Valley Foundation in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where facilitated transitional outpatient groups providing psychoeducation, coping skills and trigger management skills for those in need of intensive therapy and higher level of care. She recently relocated to Florida and provides therapy in various setting, including virtual, at-home and in-school, throughout Palm Beach County to children and their parents.
